Club History
The Soccer Referees Representative Association (SRRA)
is a newly established organisation founded in early 2026 to serve as a modern, dedicated support network for soccer officials in Dublin. While the Irish Soccer Referees Society (ISRS) has a long-standing history dating back to 1959, the SRRA emerged this year with a specific focus on streamlining referee development and representation through digital-first engagement.
Core Pillars of the SRRA
The association operates on three main priorities designed to improve the environment for match officials.
Mentorship & Development.
Creating a clear "structure and pathway" for new referees to move from amateur leagues to higher grades.
Education.
Organising regular seminars on the Laws of the Game (LOTG) and modules to ensure officials meet FAI (Football Association of Ireland) standards.
Welfare & Representation.
Acting as a collective voice for referees in disputes, providing guidance on fee negotiations, and offering a support network for match-day issues (e.g., sideline conduct).
Key Features and Operation.
The SRRA has integrated modern tools to manage its growing membership and maintain transparency
Digital Integration.
Uses the ClubZap platform for real-time news, fixture updates, and member communications.
Meeting Schedule Monthly meetings are held (typically on Mondays and Thursdays ) to discuss law changes and local officiating news.
Pathway Support.
Provides specific "Referee Progression" tracks to help officials level up their careers.
Recruitment.
Actively campaigns to bring in new officials to address referee shortages in Dublin's local leagues.

The SRRA operates alongside the FAI’s official structures. For those looking to progress, attending the mandated 2026 seminars held annually at the FAI,Abbots-town remains a requirement for maintaining good standing and eligibility for high-profile appointments.
